The New Seraph Founder, Dr. Seye Yomi-Sholoye Pays Glowing Tributes to Bishop Olufemi Adepoju, Pledge to Immortalise Him.

It was a night of glowing tributes to the memory of the late Bishop of The New Seraph, Dr. Elijah Olufemi Adepoju as the Church holds a night of Service of Songs for him at the Church headquarters, Faith Mission Cherubim & Seraphim Church Inc in Lagos.

Her Grace Dr. Oluwaseye Yomi Sholoye acknowledged that the firm supports of Bishop Femi Adepoju made The New Seraph what it has become today revealing how a relationship of 18 years was like that of 30years.

“My journey with Bishop Adepoju began just a few years ago. Our path never crossed until we met about four years ago, and the New Seraph came up about two years ago. It is a relationship of 18 months like that of 30 years with the activities, the journey and especially those of the achievements. It is not how far but how well. But I take solace in his good works.

Continuing she admonished the gathering, “This is not the time to cry or weep, as we will all go one day, but what will the people say about you when you leave,” asking “how many people have you impacted. He left when the ovation is loudest. He is a vessel unto honour to God to his last moment. I am sure he is resting in the bossom of the Lord. We are jubilating because of his good works, his heritage and his legacies.”

She also spoke eloquently about her scholarly work. “We called him Mr. Fix it. He would never allow things to go wrong before finding solution. He played very important role in what becomes The new seraph today. When we went to Liberia he made the vision of The New Seraph clearer to the world.

“He tried to let people know that The New Seraph was not just a ministry within Cherubim and Seraphim Church but a mission for the end time revival. With him the word of God is shared daily with millions of people.

“He developed Bible study manuals. He was going from one Church to the other teaching our fellow brothers and sisters the word of God.”

She remarked that his death was not a loss saying, “If it was a loss we would not be gathering here today. This is not just the beginning of his remembrance, we are going to immortalise him. I celebrate him today and I will continue to celebrate him as my breath is in me. He is a passionate Bible scholar, and we will name our bible college after him. It will now be known as Bishop Elijah Olufemi Adepoju Memorial Bible College.”

Beyond this the woman of God promised not to leave the deceased’s family alone. “We will make life better for members of his immediate family.

Dr. Yomi-Sholoye also took the advantage to remind those who were there and others listening to be of good works.

She said, “Whatever we are doing let us do it better remembering death would come one day. This is not the time to cry or weep. You will know your heaven from the earth like this. Bishop Adepoju did everything to preach undiluted word of God. He was a very straight forward person. He was too blunt. He has emancipated several youths from sins.

“If he could achieve all these much in 18 months, he has left a challenge for those he left behind. Anywhere you are, create a positive impact which the people can remember you for. What you do today is what the people will use to remember you tomorrow.

“We can only pray for his soul because it is the body that dies not the soul. He cannot die, his legacies will live beyond him. We will continue to pray for his wife and children, and his extended family.”

The Service was attended by special guests among which were the Alaye of Ode Remo, Oba Dr. Adetunji Osho and his Olori, the Patron of the New Seraph, Supt. Apostle Engineer Adeniyi Afolabi, the Secretary General of C&S Unification, Supt. Apostle Tunde Ogunkunle, Rev. Dr. Ngozi Edemba from JASFEM, Primate Simidele Omoniyi, Pastor Bola Oyediran, members of the deceased’s family, members of the new Seraph family and a host of others.
